Caitlyn modeling career is going faster and faster.
On Thursday in fact, she announced on Twitter that she’s working for the new H&M Sport campaign and she posted a backstage picture in athletic leggings, a jacket and black&white sneakers.
Caitlyn’s story is very famous, but maybe not all of us really know what happened in these years. So, let me remind you who Caitlyn Jenner is.
Caitlyn was born as William Bruce Jenner in october 1949 (she’s now 67 years old, can you believe it?!). Now she’s a TV celeb (and not only), but he became popular because he was a very good decathlon athlete. In fact he won the gold medal at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montréal and his sport story has been transformed into a film, entitled “Jeux de la XXIème olympiade“. His performance at the Olympic Games also inspired a PC videogame called “Bruce Jenner’s World Class Decathlon”.
After two weddings (the first one in 1972 and the second one in 1981) and 4 children, he married Kris Jenner.
Kris Jenner was the wife of Robert Kardashian and they had 4 children, that today are very well known all over the world: Kim, Kourtney, Kloé and Robert Jr. Kardashian. So, Bruce became their step-father.
From this marriage with Kris, they had two more daughters (them also very popular today): Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
But suddenly, in 2014 Bruce and Kris announced the divorce. What happened??
Well, in april 2015, in a very famous american Tv show, Bruce declared to feel more woman than man and he made public he wanted to begin the gender transition, in order to feel better with himself.
In june 2015, Bruce’s transition is complete. For the first time SHE is on the cover of Vanity Fair as Caitlyn Jenner.
All the gender transition process has been chronicled by an american television documentary called “I Am Cait” started on July 2015.
You can understand why she’s now the face of the new H&M Sport campaign. A spokesman for the Swedish retailer explains : “For H&M it is important to show diversity and a range of personalities in everything we do. We have picked Caitlyn Jenner, one of the world’s most celebrated athletes, as part of this H&M Sports campaign because we want to illustrate that everything is possible – in sports, and in life. It is a collection of performance sportswear made to celebrate individuality and self-belief”.
And if you’re not satisfied, let me tell you that Caitlyn is also working with MAC Cosmetics to create a new lipstick (limited-edition) called Finally Free. In particular, the profits of the shade “rosy nude” (available from April 7) will go to the MAC AIDS Fund Transgender Initiative.
